X2 Biosystems Names Major General Stephen Layfield (Ret.) President of Government and Industrial Division

Decorated Strategic Leader to Focus On Market Adoption and Expansion

X2 Biosystems' CEO Howard Green said Major General Layfield (Ret.) will play a key role in advancing the company's growth and profitability within the Government and Industrial Division. “Major General Layfield is a proven military leader and a highly accomplished strategic planner. Major General Layfield (Ret.) brings more than 30 years of senior leadership, training, and command experience to his position. In addition to his multiple operational deployments, Major General Layfield (Ret.) has managed the training and development of diverse American and multi-national organizations of up to 42,000 personnel. He oversaw development of and investment in breakthrough training systems to improve the performance of Joint Forces for the Department of Defense and also served as Department of Defense Director for its most senior leader development and educational program. The retired Major General has applied his strategic leadership and planning expertise to help lead the planning of several large scale military operations in the Middle East. His exceptional service in deployments all over the world including Bosnia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom has been recognized with numerous military awards including the Bronze Star.
