KOTKA, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Finnish mobile game company Kotka Games published its first mobile game in a spectacular way. In order to launch the Swing Game, the company held the Swing Jumping World Championships. The main character of the game, Ernest Kymi, jumped the world record 17 m of swing jumping during these championships.
The swing jumping game, Swing Game, portrays Ernest Kymi, a 94-year-old swing jumping legend. All his life, Ernest has been involved with the world’s most popular extreme sport - swing jumping. However, Ernest has not been able to show what he’s capable of, because no official competitions for this sport have been held yet. During his very first jump in the competition, Ernest jumps way too far, and lands on a passing ship. The player’s goal in the Swing Game is to help Ernest back into the competition, using swing jumping skills. Solving the 60+ levels of the game requires skill and insight. The game can be used on mobile devices running iOS and Android , through the online stores App Store and Google Play.
A documentary film about the company that produced the game, Kotka Games, is also being made, and it will be ready in spring 2015.
