Georgian American Alloys, Inc. Announces Shift in Furnace Production

MIAMI--()--Georgian American Alloys, Inc. (“GAA”), the parent company of Felman Production LLC, CC Metals and Alloys, LLC, Felman Trading, Inc. and Georgian Manganese, LLC, today announced that Georgian Manganese will shift production at three of its furnaces from silicomanganese to ferromanganese beginning in August.

As a result of the shift, Georgian Manganese will produce approximately 3,500 tons of ferromanganese per month, which will lead to a reduction of silicomanganese production by approximately 3,000 tons per month.

“With Felman Production slated to resume production of silicomanganese in the coming weeks, the strategic shift at Georgian Manganese’s Zestafoni Ferroalloy Plant serves to appropriately balance the amount of silicomanganese GAA brings to market,” said Mordechai “Motti” Korf, Chief Executive Officer of GAA. “One of the many benefits of GAA’s organizational structure is that we are able to make the necessary changes across our businesses to serve our customers.”
