GREAT FALLS, Mont.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--D.A. Davidson Companies, an employee-owned, regional financial services firm, today announced that it has adopted a new logo and updated its company name. The new logo, which features a bison and the tagline “The Strength of Advice™,” signifies the company’s power, western heritage and focus on the future.

Davidson Companies brand by incorporating a representation of our western heritage, with the bison, and our forward-looking approach, shown in the starburst,” said Bill Johnstone, Chairman and CEO of D.A. The logo includes the introduction of the tagline, “The Strength of Advice,” to highlight the company’s most important service: advice and recommendations for a wide range of individual investors and institutional clients.

The name change, from Davidson Companies to D.A. Davidson Companies, provides more naming consistency across the corporate entities. Additionally, Davidson Trust Co., one of the company’s subsidiary firms, has been renamed D.A. Davidson Trust Company.
D.A. Davidson Companies has about 1,350 employees in offices in 23 states and more than $45 billion in client assets under management and administration. The firm grew significantly during 2013 with the addition of Crowell, Weedon & Co., a California brokerage firm that has been integrated as a division of D.A. Davidson & Co.
