Monitis and PagerDuty Team up on New Integration

Seamless Connection Alerts Interface and Cascade With Intelligent Incident Management System

TAMPA, Fla.--()--Monitis, the cloud-based monitoring specialist, announced today that the company’s leading technology now integrates with PagerDuty, an intelligent incident management system. The new integration enables Monitis alerts to be directly handed over to PagerDuty for immediate processing and provides an extra layer of security allowing users to show current work schedules in their alerting system, so that any IT outage or downtime will be directed to the correct people while they are on duty.

System Administrators often miss alerts while away from their desks or after they have logged off for the day, which means that incoming alerts can be lost or not responded to in a timely manner. The new integration helps users eliminate this risk by processing alerts according to an on-call duty schedule and an escalation path, which users build into the system.

“This integration expands and demonstrates the interoperability of our technology,” comments Mikayel Vardanyan, Director of Operations at Monitis. “While it only takes a few steps to set it up, it brings about a number of advantages including more comfort and more security. This certainly supports our core objective to make the lives of system administrators significantly easier and help them so that no alert has to be lost or unduly delayed anymore. We will continue to integrate other tools to pursue our strategy.”

Monitis users can now receive alerts from PagerDuty across multiple platforms – including phone, SMS, email or mobile app push notification. Additionally, PagerDuty gives users the ability to receive automated escalations and incident tracking across all their systems. This enables IT departments to stay in sync with their on-call schedule and effectively protect against missed alerts so that they can ensure the performance, availability and quality of their IT systems with considerably less effort.
