WHAT: | Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations & Environment Dennis McGinn will deliver the keynote address, titled “National Security: Why We Need Industrial Biotechnology,” at the BIO International Convention’s Biofuels and Renewable Chemicals Forum. Afterward, Mr. McGinn will hold a media availability to discuss the Navy’s partnership with USDA on the Farm-to-Fleet Program and how biotech companies are poised to participate in it. | ||
In 2002, Mr. McGinn retired from the Navy with the rank of Vice Admiral. His 35 years of Navy service included command of the San Diego-based US Third Fleet as well as command of the USS Ranger. | |||
