First Wind to Host Annual ATV Ride-In at Rollins Project

WHAT:

First Wind and the Penobscot Off Road Riders will co-host the annual ATV Ride-In at the Rollins Wind Project. The Ride-In will bring together ATVers from across the area to experience one of Maine’s wind projects up-close while enjoying the scenic beauty of the area. Event participants will be able tour the Rollins Wind project and enjoy a post-ride barbecue luncheon. Situated in the towns of Lincoln, Burlington, Lee and Winn, the 60 megawatt (MW) Rollins Wind project generates enough clean energy to power about 23,000 Maine homes per year.

 
WHO: First Wind will host the event with members from the Penobscot Off Road Riders.
 
WHERE:

Riders will meet at the Penobscot Off Road Riders Club on Osgood Lane in Lincoln, ME and ride to the First Wind Operations & Maintenance building located at 1600 Lee Road, Lincoln, ME 04457.

The ATV Ride-In will conclude with a barbecue luncheon and a raffle that will benefit Camp Capella, which provides diverse recreational and educational opportunities for people with disabilities.
