ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial Group promoted three actuaries.
Brandon Bellin, FSA, CFA, was promoted from senior associate actuary to director and actuary, Retirement Plans. He is responsible for several areas within the Retirement Plans division, which provides defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans to US employers.
Bellin, of Woodbury, MN, joined Securian in 2001 as an actuarial analyst after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Bellin is on the board of the Twin Cities Actuarial Club.
Beth Voermans, ASA, whose first position at Securian in 1982 was as an actuarial trainee, was promoted to director, Financial Operations, Group Life Insurance. She oversees compensation, reinsurance administration and reporting for many of the division’s financial functions.
Voermans, of Roseville, MN, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, WI, and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. She is second vice chair of the Girl Scouts of MN and WI River Valleys board of directors and a board member and chair of the Grant Committee of the Roseville Area Schools Foundation.
Kristin Ferguson, FSA, CFA, of North Branch, MN, was promoted to senior associate actuary in the risk management area of Corporate Actuarial department. She will lead development, analysis and communications for several enterprise risk management functions.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, Ferguson joined Securian in 2002 as an actuarial analyst. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
