BOSTON--()--The Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, today announced that, as a result of the donations received from attendees during the 46th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony, a donation of $2,000 has been made to the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC).

Each year, the host of the Bell Ringer Awards selects a charity to donate proceeds from the event. This year, WBZ-TV news anchor and reporter David Wade selected PMC, an annual bike-a-thon to raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“The Pan-Mass Challenge does an incredible job of engaging the Boston community in its mission to raise funds for cancer care,” said Wade. “I’m happy to support their efforts by selecting them as the 2014 Bell Ringer charity.”
