NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PAR Government Systems Corporation (PGSC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR) focusing on the geospatial intelligence community and the Department of Defense, today announced that Steven D. Rizzi was appointed Vice President, National Capital Region Operations. Mr. Rizzi will lead business expansion efforts and strategic initiatives in the National Capital Region for PGSC, reporting to Matthew Cicchinelli, Vice President, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Innovations.

Mr. Rizzi joins PGSC following a long career at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a diversified technology company with business in national security, energy, health and engineering services. At SAIC, Mr. Rizzi advanced through technical and managerial roles culminating in a corporate position as Vice President and Regional Manager in Asia Pacific where he oversaw SAIC’s Australian operations, as well as coordinated the business activities across SAIC’s business units in the region. Prior to that position, Mr. Rizzi was responsible for SAIC’s international cyber strategy, and served in key roles focused on emerging markets and technology development. Since the early 1990’s, he has led profit and loss centers in the national capital region with business in defense, intelligence, telecommunications, health and education.
