TALLAHASSEE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Florida 4-H youth from across the state came together for the annual 4-H Day at the Capitol to share the importance of eating healthy and exercising as part of the UnitedHealthcare and Florida 4-H “Eat4-Health” partnership. During the lunchtime assembly, 4-H youth leaders joined UnitedHealthcare mascot Dr. Health E. Hound motivating participants to be healthy-lifestyle ambassadors.
Throughout the day 4-H Youth Health Ambassadors, trained through the UnitedHealthcare and 4-H “Eat4-Health” partnership, led workshops on healthy living and demonstrations on how to make healthy snacks, as well as fun and easy exercise activities. More than 400 4-H youth and adults, participated in 4-H Day at the Capitol, making their own healthy trail mix, participating in activities like “Go, Slow Whoa!” parachute games, and learning the importance of serving sizes to maintaining active lifestyles.
