WHAT:
DoubleTree by Hilton will show the Boston community and Marathon runners some sweet support, April 21, by bringing “Cookie Care” to the city in celebration of the 118th Boston Marathon. Hotel team members from the area will hand out thousands of the hotel’s iconic chocolate chip cookies throughout the day. They will also send a team to cheer the runners on from the sideline at the beginning of the race, hoping to make their day a little brighter. The initiative is part of DoubleTree by Hilton’s global Cookie Care campaign, which launched this spring to celebrate the brand’s milestone of more than 300 million cookies given to guests as a welcome at hotel check-in. The program takes the brand’s sweet treat beyond hotel doors to surprise people at high-profile events and important moments.
DoubleTree by Hilton will be celebrating Marathon Monday by spreading the Cookie Care through:
- Surprise visits to the Westborough Police and Fire Departments with free cookies to the areas hard-working police officers, fire fighters and employees.
- Offering free chocolate chip cookies to anyone who walks into DoubleTree Club by Hilton Boston Bayside and DoubleTree by Hilton Boston – Downtown from 12 – 5 PM wearing Boston paraphernalia.
- Consumers all over the U.S. can also join the conversation and celebrate along using #CookieCare to recognize someone they would like to share some #CookieCare with on Marathon Monday for a chance to surprise others!
In the spirit of paying it forward, everyone will receive two cookies – one to keep and one to share!
