WESTPORT, Conn.--()--Red Bull Media House’s award-winning documentary “Mission to the Edge of Space: The Inside Story of Red Bull Stratos” will make its U.S. television debut on Outside Television across two nights, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, April 13 and then concluding Monday night, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The behind-the-scenes feature recounts the nerve-racking, five-year mission through the eyes of professional skydiver and mission pilot Felix Baumgartner and his scientific prep team led by Joe Kittinger, as they together relive his historic and record-breaking 128,000-foot free fall from the stratosphere.

The new, two-hour special features a unique, first-person perspective captured during Baumgartner’s Oct. 14, 2012 jump, during which he became the first person in human history to break the sound barrier with his own body. Featuring initial test flights, equipment failures, missed deadlines, aborted missions and the emotional roller coaster surrounding both Baumgartner and everyone supporting him, “Mission to the Edge of Space” offers new insights into what has since become a global scientific event and aerospace milestone.

“Mission to the Edge of Space: The Inside Story of Red Bull Stratos” will also have an encore telecast of Part 1 and Part 2 on Friday, April 18 starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT following Red Bull Media House’s one-hour biographical documentary “Felix: The Story.”

Video, images and supporting interviews are available through Red Bull Stratos and Red Bull Media House.
