NIRI’s Rocky Mountain Chapter Presents: An Update from NIRI National

DENVER--()--Join the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) for its April 2014 feature presentation: “An Update from NIRI National.”

NIRI’s Rocky Mountain chapter is honored to welcome Jeff Morgan, President and CEO of the National Investor Relations Institute, to Denver on April 8, 2014. Jeff will discuss the latest regulatory and investor relations-related happenings in Washington, including:

  • The new Dodd-Frank rules expected in 2014
  • The SEC’s plan to overhaul disclosure
  • The status of changes to proxy advisor rules
  • The latest in news from NIRI national, including IR certification

Who: Jeff has served as NIRI’s President and CEO since January 2008. In this role, he is responsible for defining and executing a plan to maximize member value in the areas of advocacy, education, information and peer-to-peer networking. Jeff is charged with achieving NIRI’s strategic vision which includes becoming the primary industry knowledge and education provider, maximizing NIRI’s many nationwide chapters, serving as the advocate for the IR profession, and ensuring NIRI members conform to the highest ethical standards.

Prior to joining NIRI, Morgan was Chief Operating Officer of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) for nine years, where he also served as the Executive Vice President of the Institute for Financial Markets, an affiliate of the FIA. Prior to joining FIA, Jeff served as a Senior Vice President for the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents.

A Pennsylvania native, Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Information Technology from Susquehanna University and a Masters Degree program in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 Morgan was named to the National Association of Corporate Directors "Directorship 100" in recognition of his work promoting the highest standards of corporate governance. Morgan is a CAE (Certified Association Executive) and a member and Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives. Morgan also serves on the NYSE Individual Investor Advisory Committee.
