OmniGuide Surgical Appoints Nicholas Konidaris as President and CEO

Former OmniGuide Board Member and Long-time Senior Technology Executive to Drive Next Phase of Growth and Expand Surgical Offerings to Further Improve Patients’ Lives

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--OmniGuide Surgical, a leading developer of advanced energy surgical products, today announced the appointment of Nicholas Konidaris to President and CEO. Mr. Konidaris, a former member of the company’s Board of Directors, will succeed Scott Flora, effective immediately.

Mr. Konidaris most recently served for ten years as President and CEO of Electro Scientific Industries Inc., a pioneer in the new industry of laser micro-fabrication, and a long-time OmniGuide strategic investor. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Advantest America Corp., a subsidiary of Advantest Corporation and a holding company of Advantest America Inc. from February 1997 to January 2004 and also served as its President from July 1999 to January 2004. Konidaris has more than 35 years of experience helping technology companies commercialize breakthrough products.
