SAN MATEO, Calif.--()--Wizeline, the product intelligence company, today announced the release of its comprehensive product prioritization solution. The platform enables companies to collect and process disparate data sources to clearly understand the market potential of the products they are considering building. Wizeline has been in beta for several months with hundreds of companies and is now offering the solution as a self-serve platform.

“Wizeline was created to help companies build winning products that customers love,” said Wizeline’s CEO, Bismarck Lepe. “Most companies have valuable data, but we believe it’s not effectively or efficiently applied when making critical product and market decisions. All of this changes with Wizeline.”

Wizeline has its own proprietary algorithm to rank product priorities based on their greatest market opportunity.

According to the Standish Group, software companies invest anywhere between 20% and 90% of their operating budgets on research and development—and on average over 60% of this product development goes into products that are never completed, sold or used by the intended audience.

Key to the company’s core solution are Wizeline Market Tools, a service for product managers and other stakeholders who want comprehensive market feedback on the products they’re considering building. The tools simplify and speed the process of assembling disparate data, presenting programmatically ranked insights on which products or features should be prioritized.

“Wizeline has drastically improved our product planning and decision-making process,” said Ricky Sutton of Fairfax Media, an early Wizeline customer. “The results have just been phenomenal. We’re now able to prioritize as a team and make decisive product decisions in one tenth of the time as before.”

“Our company has grown quickly, and we can no longer fit everybody in a single conference room. As a result, it’s difficult to get a comprehensive picture of what the market needs,” said Rodrigo Martinez, CEO of WePow, a video interview platform. “With Wizeline, we can clearly identify the priorities by teams and markets, and make data driven decisions on how to allocate our engineering resources.”

Wizeline was started by Bismarck Lepe, founding CEO of Ooyala, the video technology company.

“Being early at Google, and then starting Ooyala, I saw firsthand how the pace of decision-making slows significantly, as there are more viewpoints and customer variables pulling companies in multiple directions at once,” added Lepe. “With Wizeline, we use data to set companies free, and help them make better decisions, faster.”

Wizeline was in closed beta for three months and is working with hundreds of companies, including Chartbeat, WePow, Fairfax Media, SnappyTV, Evergent and many more.
