MH370 - World’s Pilots Speak Out on Search and Rescue

PANAMA CITY--()--From 28 to 31 March, the highest governing body of the world’s professional pilots convened at the 69th IFALPA Conference in Panama City, Panama, and collectively reiterated the following:

Our thoughts and best hopes continue to be with the 239 crew and passengers onboard the aircraft, and their families. Whilst the search and rescue efforts are taking place, IFALPA stresses the need to avoid speculation as to what happened to the aircraft and particularly about the actions and personal lives of the missing crew.

The Federation is working closely with the Malaysian Air Line Pilots’ Association (MAPA) and will keep its resources at the disposal of the relevant investigative agencies in order to help gather facts and any other information which may be pertinent to this event.

Note to Editors: The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations represents in excess of 100,000 pilots in more than 100 countries world-wide.
