Gulf Bay Consulting Announces Social Mobile Engagement Conference Coming to Tampa September 2014

Dates, Venue and Call for Papers announced

Social Mobile Engagement Conference

TAMPA--()--“We’ve passed the inflection point; the explosion of mobile and social media is no longer a new phenomenon,” stated Bruce Burke as he announced the Social Mobile Engagement Conference & Code Challenge.

Customers eagerly share, compare and rate brand experiences on social media, at the same time, demanding real-time information and services on their mobile devices. With consumer experiences set to become even more intensified and defining, it’s time for brands to harness emerging tools and tactics.

September 4–5, 2014 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, technology and thought leaders will equip practitioners with actionable insights and strategic solutions to advance customer engagement beyond the next level.

“This event is an expansion of my Social Mobile Payments conference series,” reports Burke “we’ve found there are many segments in the customer journey, both leading up to, and following the payment transaction – I felt as if we were not telling the complete story, and made the change."

Case studies concerning customer journey, wearable technology, social communities, mobile engagement, marketing analytics, user experience, big data and gamification will be presented during this two-day event.

In addition to dates and venue announcements Gulf Bay Consulting (GBC) also announced a Call For Papers. Speakers will include leading organizations, and startups focused on engaging today’s connected customer.

Both innovators and incumbents are invited to submit an abstract on topics relevant to the conference focus. Information may be submitted via the conference website at www.socialmobileengagement.com/papers

On September 3rd GBC will be hosting several pre-conference workshops. Experts in the new frontiers of Mobility, Gamification and Google Glass will share their knowledge. Each session will provide attendees with unique understanding of the subject matter and deliver new insights. Information concerning the workshops is available at www.socialmobileengagement.com/workshops

GBC also announced a ride-along event centered on creating market modernization. Sponsored by the Hillsborough County Economic Development Innovation Initiative (EDI2), the Code Challenge is a veritable, event within an event.

While conference sessions take place, developers, dreamers and doers will create exciting new solutions. Leading brands will provide their SDK’s and API’s to those pioneering new paths.

Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe wrote, “Tampa Bay has tremendous tech talent. Now we need to connect our talent with a steady dose of events that helps attract new talent, strengthens our innovative ecosystem and leverages private sector resources and support … EDI2 will help facilitate the incubation, acceleration, collaboration and tailored assistance that a thriving startup community needs to flourish.”

“We invite coders and creatives to rapidly develop ideas from conception to completion during the span of the two-day conference” said Burke.

In the afternoon of September 5th demos will be presented, as conference delegates and the entire Tampa Bay tech community watches and roots for their favorites. An expert panel of judges will review and score solutions, awarding prizes to best-in-class solutions.
