ALFA Unveils Program Details for ALFA 2014 Conference & Expo

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--()--The Assisted Living Federation of America today announced the general conference program for the ALFA 2014 Conference & Expo, offering world-class keynote speakers and valuable sessions as well as an exclusive education institute for senior living executives.

Led by keynote speakers former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband astronaut Mark Kelly, endurance swimmer Diana Nyad, academic Sir Ken Robinson and artist Candy Chang, the conference sessions are set to lead change and inspire passion.

The ALFA 2014 Conference & Expo will feature 75 educational sessions exploring topics and trends shaping the senior living business today. They offer the newest information and practical content customized for company, regional and community senior living executives. Among the trends being explored are compliance with federal health privacy law, housing markets, partnerships with Accountable Care Organizations and the integration of technology into senior living communities.

Third Annual Executive Director Leadership Institute at ALFA 2014

The 2014 Executive Director Leadership Institute is produced in partnership with the University of Southern California Davis School, the oldest and the largest school of gerontology in the world. The four-day educational program exclusively for executive directors who manage a senior living community offers a university-level curriculum starting May 19 combining rigorous, graduate-level academic work with real world application to enhance and enrich the work of executive directors in senior living communities. EDLI participants will attend the exposition and conference general sessions including the ALFA Hero Awards Luncheon.

The Most Effective Way to Find Answers to Business Questions

More than 250 exhibitors will be on hand at the ALFA 2014 Expo to help executives solve their business challenges. The Expo at ALFA 2014 is on ways to connect with companies ready to help with a project, program or new business opportunity. ALFA will host a variety of networking and learning experiences at The Expo to encourage more dialogue. The Expo will be open Tuesday, May 20 from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A list of exhibitors is located on the official conference website.
