Purcell was recognized as the Telecommunications CEO of the Year at Capacity Magazine’s 2014 Metro Connect Awards Dinner in Miami. Also finalists for the award were the leaders of Hibernia Networks, Lightower Fiber Networks and TW Telecom.

Fibertech was also named Metro Service Provider of the Year, Northeast – Mid-Atlantic, as well as being recognized for Operational Excellence serving Wireline Customers, and Operational Metro Excellence. Research consultancy ATLANTIC-ACM presented the awards to carriers based on more than 1,800 individual ratings of metro wholesale service providers by their customers in surveys for the 2013 edition of ATLANTIC-ACM’s Metro Wholesale Service Provider Report Card. In all, Fibertech continued its run as the most decorated organization in the industry at the event.
