GEICO names Lona Montgomery assistant vice president of centralized services in Macon, Ga.

MACON, Ga.--()--Lona Montgomery has been named assistant vice president of centralized services located in GEICO’s regional office in Macon, Ga. Montgomery previously served as director of sales and service in the company’s Coralville, Iowa, office.

In her new assignment, she will oversee GEICO’s Centralized Services division, which handles critical functions such as emergency road service, mechanical breakdown insurance, glass losses and accounts receivable for the entire organization.

“Lona brings a wealth of valuable hands-on experience to the position,” said Rhett Rayburn, GEICO regional vice president. “She is well-prepared to successfully meet the challenge of running centralized services.”

Montgomery began her career in GEICO’s San Diego regional office in 1990, where she served in a number of positions including service manager, sales manager, report center manager and planning manager. In 2008, she relocated to the company’s corporate office in Chevy Chase, Md., to become the retention process coordinator for GEICO’s Competitive Advantage Leadership Group. In 2011, she began her assignment as director of sales and service in Coralville.

Montgomery graduated from Chapman University, Orange, Calif., with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. In 2012, she earned a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation. She succeeds Andrea Bradley, who becomes assistant vice president of underwriting for GEICO’s Virginia Beach regional office.
