ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, recently attended the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Ministry of Interior and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The agreement aims to boost cooperation in combating transnational crime and enhancing the exchange of information between both parties.
Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Interior while Peter Edge, Deputy Associate Director for U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) signed it on behalf of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The signing ceremony, which was held at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, was attended by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness, the Minister; and Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Michael Corbin, the United States Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates; John Connolly, Assistant Director of International Affairs; and Adam Seitz, the Attaché of the Department of Homeland Security at the US Embassy in the UAE.
