CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The spotlight was on one lucky mom from Minneapolis, MN as Bounty paper towels surprised Molly Woll with an Ultimate Olympic Games viewing party. As part of their recent “Bring It” campaign, Molly was chosen out of thousands of participants to receive an ultimate Olympic Games at-home celebration and a year’s supply of Bounty to help clean up.
The campaign, which launched in November, asked sports moms across the country to share how they encourage their aspiring athlete to practice in the home – despite the mess! These “Bring It” moms brought it to Twitter, using the hashtag #BringIt to share their messy stories. For each Tweet, Bounty donated $1 to the P&G Team USA Youth Sports Fund to help other aspiring athletes achieve their dreams. The overwhelming support from the moms enabled Bounty to donate a total of $10,000 to help encourage and ignite a passion for sports within a new era of Olympians.
Out of the thousands of Tweets, Molly’s story stood out amongst the crowd and inspired Bounty to give back to this “Bring It” mom. Molly supports her 7-year old aspiring athlete daughter by taking her to early morning (and evening) practices, foregoing family vacations to pay for hockey fees and taking on a second job, and even letting her practice inside their home! She knows the boundless opportunities your child can have when you don’t let a little mess stop their dreams.
“Uniting ‘Bring It’ moms across the country and hearing their stories was a truly inspiring experience,” says Victoria Schooler, Bounty paper towels communications manager. “We were particularly touched by Molly’s story and wanted to ensure that she had the best tools at her disposal to help tackle any bumps, messes and spills that come her way.”
Bounty’s “Bring It” program is a part of a larger Procter & Gamble (P&G) program during the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games titled “Thank You Mom,” which not only highlights the everyday journey athletes take to get to the Games, but celebrates the moms who help get them there. As part of the 2014 “Thank You, Mom” campaign, P&G offered their “Thanks” to all 357 moms of US Olympians & Paralympians with a gift of a $1,000 VISA gift card to help them on their journey to Sochi.
