Elizabeth King Named Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness, for ESCO

Also receives top honors at STEP Awards in Washington D.C.

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--ESCO Corporation announced today that Elizabeth King has been named Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness.

King is also in Washington, D.C. today to receive the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award.

The STEP Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory floor to the C-suite. This year, the Manufacturing Institute is recognizing 160 honorees from more than 110 companies. The STEP Awards program will highlight each honoree’s story, including their leadership and accomplishments in manufacturing.

Over her 16 years with ESCO, King has held various leadership roles focused on the development and delivery of initiatives to ensure that ESCO has the talent and skills necessary to deliver on its strategic objectives. She was also instrumental in moving ESCO’s culture to one of continuous improvement through the implementation of Lean across the organization.

Locally and nationally, King is actively engaged in initiatives that broadly support the manufacturing industry. She was appointed to serve as Chair of the Oregon Workforce Development Board and Co-Chair of the Oregon Statewide Manufacturing Strategy. She serves in a variety of other regional and local capacities, all sharing the mission of continuous improvement and enhanced workplace competency.
