HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--During the 2014 Winter NAPE Business Conference at the George R. Brown Convention Center, former Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar fields questions from local and energy industry media at a press conference following his keynote address. The conference opened with Salazar’s remarks where he addressed concerns about the respective roles of private enterprise and public policy while emphasizing the importance of energy independence in America. More than 900 exhibiting companies and an estimated 16,000 attendees are expected to attend the Expo portion of Winter NAPE which opens Thursday, February 6, 2014.
