WAREHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smithers Viscient announced that Susan P. Shepherd has been appointed as President of Smithers Viscient. Shepherd will report to Smithers Group President and CEO, Michael Hochschwender.
Shepherd has responsibility for Smithers Viscient globally, including operations in Wareham, Massachusetts; Snow Camp, North Carolina; Harrogate, England; and Tokyo, Japan. Shepherd has nearly 30 years of service with Smithers Viscient. She has held high-level leadership positions within numerous business units, most recently as Vice President of Smithers Viscient North American Operations. She holds a B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
Shepherd will assume the role of President after a transition period to select and train her successor. During the interim period, she will remain in her current VP role, and Michael Hochschwender will serve as acting Smithers Viscient President.
