LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Windes, a leading California accounting and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Gary Curtis, as partner in its Tax and Accounting Services Practice. He is based out of Windes’ Orange County office located in Irvine.
Curtis joins Windes with more than 30 years of professional experience, including serving as a director at Deloitte and managing director at KPMG. He comes to Windes from Haskell & White, where he was a corporate tax partner and led the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice.

Curtis’ expertise lies in complex corporate transactions including consolidated income tax return issues, multi-state taxation, and cancellation of debt issues. He specializes in tax consulting and compliance services for privately held and public companies. Curtis has extensive experience with compliance requirements and issues pertaining to numerous corporation types, including start-ups. In addition, he provides services related to income tax accounting accrual issues for private and public companies, including accounting for uncertain tax positions. He has a wide range of industry experience, which includes the technology, manufacturing, retail, medical, and personal services sectors.

Curtis has a bachelor of science in accounting from Phillips University.
