Chartboost Announces IGDA as Premier Partner for Spring 2014 Chartboost University

Boot camp for mobile game developers will feature a keynote by IGDA Board Chairman Dustin Clingman; other featured lecturers and mentors from Limbic, DeNA, TinyCo, GamesBeat, SomaTone, LVL6, Kerosene, and many others.

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Chartboost, the world’s largest technology platform powering the business of mobile games, has announced the Independent Games Developers Association (IGDA) as the featured partner for Chartboost University (CBU) Spring 2014. Now in its third semester, CBU is an immersive boot camp that educates and inspires mobile game developers from around the world to build great games. Charboost’s mission is to empower game developer success in freemium economies, and CBU’s goal is to help them gain the knowledge and make industry connections, to support their vision of making games while creating sustainable businesses.

Chartboost University welcomes applications worldwide, and will accommodate teams of two to three indie game developers from each company. To match the University’s standards, applicants have to send in a creative and innovative submission to demonstrate their ability and intent to learn about various gaming disciplines and show a commitment to building great games. Chartboost will provide each team a scholarship of $4,000 to cover travel and accommodations while attending CBU, as well as complimentary GDC Expo passes.
