HBR Consulting Continues Its Rapid Expansion by Naming James Rojas Managing Director & Corporate Development Officer

CHICAGO--()--In a move that will further accelerate its growth, HBR Consulting LLC (www.hbrconsulting.com) announces James Rojas, a founder and former officer of Huron Consulting Group LLC, has joined the firm as managing director and corporate development officer. Rojas brings to HBR more than 20 years’ experience in finance, management consulting, and mergers & acquisitions.

“Jim brings tremendous value as a former chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) at Huron and a number of other enterprises,” said HBR Consulting CEO Chris Petrini-Poli. “He will work closely with our leadership team to develop our growth agenda, which includes providing guidance on investment and capital strategies, as well as resource acquisition, talent management, and client development recommendations. Jim will also help develop and accelerate the growth of our Law Department Consulting Practice—a key area for growth in 2014.”

In addition to serving as COO and CFO, Rojas occupied a number of other key executive positions at Huron. Most recently he served as managing director and solution leader in Huron Consulting Group’s Legal Segment. In that position he directed the strategic planning and execution of the firm’s legal market service lines and played a leadership role in its advisory consulting business.

“We are very excited to have Jim joining our team and look forward to his contributions,” said HBR Consulting President Nick Quil. “His unique perspective and background, in both professional services firms and corporate operations, will be instrumental as we continue to focus on the corporate law department market as well as advancing our capabilities in managed services, data analytics and related software for professional services firms.”

Besides his work with Huron, Rojas has also served as CFO at Stop & Shop and Giant Supermarket Company, an enterprise owned by Ahold USA; and as a partner with Arthur Andersen. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting at the University of Notre Dame.

“What attracted me to HBR was its reputation within the legal community, the quality of its people and the emerging growth opportunities I see within the legal services marketplace,” Rojas said. “There continues to be significant pressure in the legal space to streamline operations and reduce costs. As a former COO and CFO, I look forward to using that experience to provide insight and guidance to HBR as we expand our current offerings and develop new service lines.”
