SUNNYVALE, Calif.--()--Polargy, Inc., a leading provider of hot- and cold-aisle containment systems for data centers, today announced record shipments of PolarDam™ Air Dam Foam in 2013.

As 2013 concludes, Polargy has achieved another record year for shipments of the PolarDam Air Dam Foam. The Air Dam Foam is a self-forming foam that expands to seal any area where it is inserted, which helps maximize air conditioning performance in data centers by sealing up gaps to keep cold air and hot air separated.. Scored into a “tear-to-size” perforated 1”x 1” grid, the Foam is also fire retardant and meets the UL -94-HF-1 rating.

The product launched with the company in 2008 and has steadily increased in numbers of shipments on a year-over-year basis. Polargy attributes the success of the product to the strong value proposition in terms of the foam’s cost, ease, and effectiveness of use. The foam is flexible and makes gap-filling quick and inexpensive. It is useful for applications such as wiring holes in raised floors, spaces between racks or any gap where the preventing bypass air and stopping recirculation is critical.

Shipments of PolarDam have crossed the globe, from high numbers in domestic use, to installations in facilities throughout London, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, and Australia.

“With the continued emphasis on airflow efficiency and the broader adoption of data center containment, we anticipate strong demand in 2014 and continual growth in the foreseeable future,” said Cary Frame, Polargy’s CEO.

Polargy recently released the P2 Swing Door and remain active across their social platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and the company blog, The Containment Chronicles.
