SRA Announces New Roles for Three Members of its Senior Leadership Team

FAIRFAX, Va.--()--SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced new roles for three members of the company’s senior leadership team. Effective immediately, George Batsakis, formerly the Senior Vice President of the Defense Group, will assume the role of Senior Vice President, National Security Group. Paul Nedzbala, previously Senior Vice President of the Civil Government Group, has been named Senior Vice President, Health and Civil Group. Pat Burke formerly Senior Vice President of the Intelligence, Homeland Security & Law Enforcement Group has been appointed as SRA’s Chief Technology Officer.

The shift in senior leadership roles comes as SRA realigns its operating groups from four to two. The National Security Group, led by George Batsakis, comprises SRA’s former Defense Group together with the Intelligence, Homeland Security & Law Enforcement Group. George brings more than 20 years of defense and intelligence-related systems development and lifecycle management experience with large-scale programs and diverse projects portfolios including information technology; C4 and logistics systems; science, technology and development.

The Health and Civil Group, led by Paul Nedzbala, incorporates the previous Civil Government and Health Groups. Paul has over 27 years of experience and success growing SRA’s presence in Health and Civil agencies and has been instrumental in developing strategies that capitalize on SRA's strengths to help customers solve some of their most complex problems. He has developed high performing teams focused on driving innovation, efficiency and mission-centric thinking that addresses customer challenges today and in the future. Nedzbala held multiple leadership roles in both SRA’s former Health and Civil Government Groups, where he was responsible for generating significant growth in these markets.

The creation of the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will allow SRA to further leverage its technology expertise across the business, ensuring that customers receive the best solutions aligned to their mission priorities. The new CTO, Pat Burke, has been with SRA over for 20 years. His extensive experience with acquisition and information technology systems engineering across a diverse set of customers and domains, including commercial and federal government customers makes him the natural choice to lead SRA’s customer-facing technology function.

SRA President and CEO Bill Ballhaus commented on the changes, “We have aligned our business to better meet the needs of our federal customers who are operating in a dynamic environment that continues to include significant budget constraints. We continue to focus on helping our customers meet their most challenging mission needs and our commitment to flawless execution remains unwavering. In addition, I am excited to further build on our technology heritage through the creation of our new CTO role.”

Earlier this year, SRA announced the appointment of Tom Nixon, formerly Senior Vice President of the Health Group to Executive Vice President & Chief Growth Officer.
