Rentokil North America Expands Operations in Canada and Washington, D.C.

READING, Pa.--()--Rentokil North America announced today it is again expanding its footprint with two strategic acquisitions. The company has acquired Prairie Professional Pest Control, a pest control company providing services in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Robert Sanders, Prairie’s founder and the current president of the Alberta Pest Control Association, will be staying with the business and assisting with the integration process.

“Prairie is a great cultural fit offering world class quality service with a desirable customer base, including the contract for the city of Calgary that Prairie has exclusively serviced for the past 10 years,” said John Myers, president and CEO of Rentokil North America. “The addition of Prairie adds a seventh province to our Canadian pest services, six of which have been added in just the last 15 months. We are very excited to be a part of the Canadian marketplace.”

Additionally, Rentokil has also acquired Plantworks, Inc., a twenty-five year-old company that services the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, specializing in interior and exterior landscapes for hotels and commercial office buildings, as well as holiday décor. This acquisition expands the company’s Ambius D.C. branch. Ambius is the world’s largest provider of plants, holiday décor, replica foliage and flowers for commercial environments. “Plantworks, Inc. has a long-standing reputation for offering premier corporate interior and exterior landscaping services and fits extremely well into our existing D.C. business. It strengthens our position as the leader in the competitive Washington market by making it possible to offer a broader range of plants maintenance and services to our clients,” Myers said.
