Innovative patient engagement company expands foothold in hospital space, offering health systems an integrated care communication and coordination platform

CHICAGO--()--PatientPoint®, a national leader in patient engagement, patient education and care coordination, today announced it has completed an acquisition of publishing assets from American Hospitals Publishing Group International (AHPGI), a provider of customized patient guides and other communication tools to more than 200 hospitals across the country.

With the acquisition, PatientPoint now provides more than 750 U.S. hospitals and health systems with cost-effective solutions designed to increase patient satisfaction, engagement and loyalty, and supporting improved safety, higher quality care and ultimately better outcomes. "With the addition of these 200 hospitals to our customer base, PatientPoint continues to secure its leadership position in offering patient engagement solutions at the point of care—establishing an even stronger foundation from which to enhance the physician-patient relationship along the care continuum,” said Chris Martini, President Network Solutions, PatientPoint.

PatientPoint Network Solutions will incorporate AHPGI content into its product portfolio, which includes customized patient guides, digital waiting room and print-based exam room programs for physician offices and hospitals. Additionally, former AHPGI customers will have access to the full suite of PatientPoint products offered through its Coordinated Care Solutions and Outcomes Research Solutions businesses, including care coordination and clinical trial recruitment and retention.

“From electronic check-in at reception to digital waiting room programs to bedside hospital guides or exam room brochures, PatientPoint programs engage and empower patients at every step in their care journey,” said Martini. These innovative solutions offer providers an unprecedented range of programs to connect with their patients—whether at the doctor’s office, specialty office, pharmacy, hospital or home. By employing a multi-program approach across care settings, hospitals, physicians and health systems can turn PatientPoint programs into an effective, comprehensive and customizable platform to consistently engage patients to support improved outcomes.
