Cloud Services Help Drive SHI International Corp. to New Heights in Third Quarter 2013

SHI recorded $1.2 billion in third quarter revenue, an 18.8 percent increase over the same period last year.

SOMERSET, N.J.--()--SHI International Corp., one of North America's top 20 largest IT solutions providers, earned $1.2 billion in revenue during the third quarter of 2013, a 18.8 percent jump over the same period last year. SHI’s $3.5 billion in revenue year to date represents growth of more than 14 percent compared to the same period last year. Key to the third quarter growth was sales of cloud-based products and services, which contributed $250 million year to date.

“Throughout the third quarter, we pursued new partnerships and initiatives to satisfy the growing enterprise demand for cloud products and services,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI International Corp. “We negotiated new partnerships to offer Amazon Web Services and the Box suite of storage, content management, and file-sharing services. In addition, we were one of two potential partners selected to offer Hewlett-Packard’s public cloud. By offering more options from the top cloud services providers, as well as continually seeking better ways to deliver those services, we’re helping more organizations find and implement the IT tools they need to meet their business goals.”

In addition to its growing cloud services offerings, SHI saw growth across all of its sales divisions, with year-to-date public sector and corporate sector revenues up by 26 percent and 42 percent year over year, respectively. Year-to-date revenue grew by double digits year over year for SHI’s Canada, U.K., and France divisions.

SHI’s third-quarter success was punctuated by its 10th consecutive Microsoft Operational Excellence Award, recognizing it as a top Microsoft partner. In addition, the third quarter marked the 15th anniversary of SHI U.K. and the launch of the new SHI.com.
