OpenTempo Welcomes Industry Veterans to Leadership Team

Industry demand for automated scheduling to lower costs and increase efficiency drives OpenTempo’s rapid growth

WILLISTON, Vt.--()--OpenTempo Inc., a premier provider of integrated workforce management software for healthcare, has welcomed three new members to its management team to support and accelerate strategic growth. Joining the company are industry veterans Jim Crook as Chairman of the Board, Walt Marti as Chief Administrative Officer and John Jordan as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

The expansion of the leadership team was driven by a dramatic increase in market demand, says Rich Miller, president and CEO of OpenTempo. Sales projections for 2013 are three hundred percent higher than last year and the company has tripled its staff in recent months to support new customers. Miller attributes OpenTempo’s success to how effectively its software suite helps healthcare organizations lower costs and increase efficiency—critical considerations in an industry facing the pressures of reform.

In addition to their individual credentials, Crook, Marti and Jordan bring shared leadership experience from IDX Systems Corporation, where their management efforts helped grow the company to $1.3 billion before being acquired by GE Healthcare in 2006.

“Maintaining a great product and happy customers is essential for success,” Miller notes. “Jim, Walt and John are dedicated and talented professionals who share the values OpenTempo is built upon. We are delighted to welcome them and are confident their expertise will help guide us as we accelerate our growth.”

As chair of the board, Crook was the former CEO of IDX and he will leverage his 25 years of leadership experience and his strong track record of rapid growth in healthcare IT. Crook is a private equity investor in several healthcare IT companies and serves on several related boards. He is also a Colby College alumnus.

Marti offers extensive experience both in healthcare technology and strategic growth. Prior to joining OpenTempo, he served as vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare’s Strategic Relationship Group. During his time at IDX, he held the position of vice president and general manager of the radiology business unit and grew that division from $3 million to $130 million. Marti earned a master’s degree from Colorado State University.

Jordan offers more than 25 years of experience in managing strategic direction and diverse sales teams. Prior to joining OpenTempo, Jordan was vice president of North American sales at dbMotion, which was recently acquired by Allscripts. He also held similar positions with InSiteOne, GE Healthcare and IDX. Jordan has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Saint Michael’s College.
