Enmetric Systems Announces Distinguished Advisory Board

Newly formed board of advisors will help enterprise energy management start-up scale its business

BELMONT, Calif.--()--Enmetric Systems, Inc., the leading provider of plug load management solutions for the enterprise, today announced the creation of an Advisory Board of seven distinguished members, including several long-time supporters of the Company. The mission of the Advisory Board will be to help guide Enmetric’s operations, as well as to help prepare the company for future growth. The charter members of the Enmetric Advisory Board include:

  • Edward “Skip” Stritter, Ph.D., who is President of Stritter Consulting and currently serves on the Board of Overseers of the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Mr. Stritter is the chief architect of the Motorola 68000 microprocessor (used in the original Apple Computer Macintosh), a co-founder of the first commercial RISC company MIPS Computer Systems, the founder of Clarity Wireless (acquired by Cisco Systems), and founder of NeTPower. He served as head of Cisco Systems’ new business development for broadband wireless data communications. Mr. Stritter was also nominated by the United States Justice Department to serve on a three-member technical board to ensure that Microsoft complied with the judgments of United States v. Microsoft.
  • Tom Hutton, who currently manages his own firm, Thompson Hutton LLC, which invests in venture capital and private equity transactions. He most recently served as CEO of White Mountains Re Group, Ltd., an international financial services holding company with business interests in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance. Prior to that, Mr. Hutton served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Risk Management Solutions, Inc. (RMS) from its founding in 1990 to its sale in 2000. Mr. Hutton has served as an Active Chairman/Adviser to several other venture-backed information technology companies and has served on the Boards of four major insurance companies.
  • Brad W. Buss, who was appointed executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at Cypress Semiconductor in August 2005. Notably, Mr. Buss helped pioneer Cypress’ successful silicon solar power subsidiary, SunPower Corporation, which went public in 2005. Prior to joining Cypress, Mr. Buss served as vice president of finance at Altera Corp. A veteran of the electronics industry, he spent seven years as a finance executive with Wyle Electronics, culminating as chief financial officer and secretary of the Atlas Services Division. Mr. Buss was also a member of Cisco System's worldwide sales finance team. Mr. Buss is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chairman for CafePress Inc. (NASDAQ: PRSS) and Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA).
  • Steven Capelli, who for more than 15 years was part of the management team of Sybase, an SAP company, which offers enterprise software to manage, analyze, and mobilize information. As President, World Field Operations, Mr. Capelli was in charge of the revenue and customer interactions for one of the most successful data management companies. Before joining Sybase he worked at Siemens Pyramid as Vice President and CFO. Mr. Capelli started his career as a controller in several companies, including Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys Corporation, WR Grace and Company, and Burroughs Corporation. Mr. Capelli was a member of the Board of Directors of Apropos Technologies and currently is a Board Advisor for ParStream, which offers real-time big data analytics.
  • Gil Masters, Ph.D., who is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Emeritus) at Stanford University. Although he officially retired in 2002, Dr. Masters continues to teach CEE 176A (Energy-Efficient Buildings) and CEE 176B (Electric Power: Renewables and Efficiency). He is the author or co-author of eight books, including Introduction to Environmental Engineering and Science, now in its third (2008) edition, Renewable and Efficient Electric Power Systems (2004), and Energy for Sustainability: Technology, Policy and Planning (2008). Dr. Masters has been the recipient of a number of teaching awards at Stanford, including the Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Tau Beta Pi teaching award from the School of Engineering. He was also a three-year Bing Fellow for Undergraduate Teaching. Over the years, more than 12,000 students have enrolled in his courses.
  • Tomakin Archambault, who is the CEO and a Managing Director at GSSG Solar, LLC — an investment platform that advises on and invests in development stage and operational solar projects worldwide. Formerly, Mr. Archambault was the Vice President of Investment and Finance and Co-head of the Global Special Situations Group at SunEdison. He led the origination and execution of SunEdison Reserve, SunEdison’s largest multi-country solar fund, and oversaw origination and execution of multiple “first time” solar structures in the U.S. Prior to SunEdison, he was an original member of a wind and solar investment platform within a Palo Alto–based private investment fund and a consultant on energy efficiency at Rocky Mountain Institute. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from University of Denver and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
  • Genni Combes, who served as SVP of Corporate Development at ZipRealty, where she helped build and launch the company’s award-winning “Powered by Zip” division. Ms. Combes held various senior executive roles at ZipRealty for over eight years, including SVP, Technology and Operational Strategy and SVP, Financial Planning and Operations. Prior to joining ZipRealty, Ms. Combes spent over 10 years in various capacities at JPMorgan (previously Hambrecht & Quist), including as a Managing Director of JP Morgan H&Q’s Consumer Research Group. She has acted as an underwriting analyst for numerous investment banking transactions in the consumer sector, including Pixar, Intuit, E*TRADE and Amazon. Ms. Combes has won numerous awards, including being recognized as an All-Star Analyst by The Wall Street Journal, as well as the “Home Run Hitter of the Year” by Institutional Investor Magazine.
