Code42’s CrashPlan Enterprise Endpoint Backup Wins Two 2013 Stevie Awards

Solution recognized as a Best New Product or Service of the Year for Software in both the "Cloud Application/Service" and "Security Solution" categories

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Code42, developers of award-winning, private and public cloud-based endpoint backup solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced the company’s CrashPlan PROe enterprise endpoint backup solution won Stevie Awards as a Best New Product or Service of the Year for Software in the "Cloud Application/Service" and "Security Solution" categories.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 3,200 nominations were received this year, with Stevie Award winners selected by a judging panel consisting of more than 320 executives nationwide.

“For seven years, protecting the world’s data has been our business, and CrashPlan is at the center of it all,” said Brian Bell, president and chief operating officer for Code42. “Industry recognition such as this one inspires us to keep innovating and delivering even more value to our customers.”

The Stevie Awards for the Cloud Application/Service and Security Solution categories recognize achievement for new products or services over the past year. CrashPlan mitigates data loss risk by continuously, automatically protecting the critical business data stored on laptops and desktops. The award-winning solution safeguards more than four exabytes of data for some of the world’s largest organizations, including Adobe, Netflix, SUPERVALU, NASA, Procter & Gamble and Arizona State University.

The American Business Awards honor adds to the list of recent awards received by Code42. CrashPlan also has been named a top online backup solution/service by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Lifehacker, The New York Times, KMWorld, PCWorld and InformationWeek; a 2012 Macworld Editor’s Choice Award; and a Lifehacker 2013 “Best Mac App,” “Best Windows App” and “Most Popular Online Backup Service.”
