MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AddThis today announced the appointment of Richard Harris as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Harris succeeds Ramsey McGrory, who held the role of CEO since October 2011. McGrory will now serve in an advisory role to the company.
Harris joined AddThis as Chief Financial Officer earlier this year and brings a wealth of knowledge from nearly two decades with technology start-ups.

Harris has significant experience as both an operator and investor of technology companies. He was a key member of the team that spun-out Cronos Integrated Microsystems from a non-profit research institution in 1999. Harris then went on to be the founder and General Partner of Mt. Weather Capital, a private equity firm with a portfolio of profitable and growing services companies, and founder of RedShift Ventures, a $220MM venture capital firm focused on early stage technology companies.
