The RP350x can accommodate legacy magnetic stripe credit and debit cards as well as newer EMV chip-based cards. Now merchants can leverage EMV as part of its mobile point of sale solution and benefit from lower processing fees and better security. By adopting the Visa ready RP350x from ROAM, merchants can process payments in both ways and be ready for the October 2015 liability shift from card issuers to merchants’ acquirers.
ROAM sells the RP350x reader via its global network of acquirers, financial institutions, independent sales organizations (ISOs) and payment service providers (PSPs). Due to that extensive network, ROAM believes it will soon have more mobile readers out in the hands of merchants than any other vendor.
