CANNES, France--()--MAKERS, the short-form video platform showcasing thousands of stories from innovative and trailblazing women, unveiled its groundbreaking new program, MAKERS@, from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. MAKERS@ will be a first-of-its-kind opportunity for a select group of companies to celebrate and acknowledge their game-changing female employees.

The new MAKERS@ program centers on the inaugural MAKERS Conference, scheduled for February 2014, where leading companies will send the women, who are making a mark within their organizations, to participate. The conference will feature innovative programming produced and led by MAKERS, and include prominent female and male executives from across a spectrum of industries.

Here’s how MAKERS@ works:

-

Companies receive an invitation to join MAKERS@ which enables

them to identify three women from within their ranks to be celebrated as MAKERS.

These high-potential women will represent a spectrum of levels within the companies’ ranks.

-

The three women from each participating company attend The MAKERS Conference in February

2014.

-

Each conference session will be executive produced by a MAKER

featured on MAKERS.com. The MAKERS’ own experiences – taking

risks, overcoming adversity, breaking new ground for women and

even making history – will inform the course of discussion for each program.

“MAKERS@ fulfills the critical need for women to be exposed to a supportive network of highly successful women and their stories,” said Susan Lyne, CEO of the AOL Brand Group. “We’re encouraging companies to shine a light on the contributions of formidable women in their organizations, knowing that creating MAKERS within their companies will empower them and produce lasting results.”

Thus far, the following women are confirmed to produce and lead the first MAKERS Conference:

-

Conference Emcee, Kara Swisher, Co-executive editor of AllThingsD.com, co-producer

and co-host of D: All Things Digital, a major high-tech and media conference
