Nara Offers Restaurant Recommendations Anywhere in the U.S.

Goes Nationwide with its Digital DNA™, Launches Native iOS App and Website Redesign

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--Nara Logics Inc., a company that solves the problem of Web search by crafting a more personalized and liberating Web, today announced the availability of its service nationwide. Previously available in 50 cities throughout the United States and Canada, Nara is now able to curate a unique set of personalized restaurant recommendations for the individual anywhere across the country, from big cities to small towns and everywhere in between. Additionally, Nara has launched its Native iOS app for a sleek, user-friendly mobile experience, as well as a new Website redesign.

“With Nara nationwide coverage, we are now able to tailor the web and provide highly-personalized recommendations for virtually anyone, anywhere across the country,” said Thomas Copeman, chief executive officer and founder of Nara. “Coupled with our seamless Native iOS app, Nara nationwide provides users with the peace-of-mind that they will find the perfect place to dine, no matter where they go.”

Nara is Now Available Nationwide

Built by MIT scientists, Nara’s algorithm works by learning a person’s tastes and preferences and suggests restaurants that best suit them. Nara calls this your Digital DNATM. With its new nationwide coverage, Nara now guarantees a user can apply their Digital DNATM to absolutely any location across the country. With previous availability in just 50 cities throughout the United States and Canada, Nara now allows users to input over 20,000 U.S. cities into the Nara Website or mobile application to produce personalized and accurate recommendations for any given location.

“From coast to coast, the Nara algorithm analyzes the structure of the Web, showing only those restaurants that match a user’s Digital DNATM,” said Dr. Nathan Wilson, chief technology officer at Nara. “While the concept sounds simple, we actually had to rethink the way we store and retrieve data in order to apply a user’s Digital DNA TM to any location nationwide.”

Nara’s Native iOS App Launch and Website Redesign

Nara’s new Native iOS application provides an easier and more aesthetically pleasing mobile experience for the iPhone and iPad user. With a number of new features, Nara users can now:

  • Access the Nara Neural Network on the go, in a user-friendly format that is built specifically for the iPhone and iPad.
  • View their Nara ‘Finds’ in both vertical and horizontal layouts in four visually pleasing formats including the default tile view as well as the map, list or carousel views.
  • Narrow their personalized list of restaurants even further using Nara’s many filters including neighborhood, type of cuisine, price point, distance (walking, biking, driving, etc.) and more.

On the new Nara ‘Merchant’ page, users can find a variety of important information including directions, phone numbers, menus, Foursquare tips and the new ‘Why’ section, which explains why this restaurant was chosen for the user. Through the ‘Merchant’ page users can also easily book a reservation through OpenTable, order delivery or pick-up through GrubHub and book a car through Uber to take them to their chosen restaurant.

Additionally, Nara has launched a brand new Website redesign with an easy-to-use, sleek user interface that was built to streamline the Web experience for every Nara user. In addition to the above features listed for the Native iOS app, the revamped website will also support Nara’s nationwide coverage and provide cleaner, easier-to-use social capabilities.
