CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cintas Canada (NASDAQ: CTAS) in Calgary is pleased to support Free The Children and the We Walk 4Water Initiative, a 300 km trek from Edmonton to Calgary during which, Spencer West, a double amputee, is traveling on his hands and in his wheelchair. The walk raises money for Free The Children’s year-long Water Initiative aimed at bringing permanent sources of clean water to more than 100,000 people throughout the world.
“Cintas partners in Canada have gone above and beyond in their support for Free The Children,” said Leslie Molin, Marketing Manager. “Water is such a vitally important part of a thriving society and creating permanent sources for water will not only help girls go to school and women earn a living, but will reduce illness,” she added.
During the 11-day journey, Cintas Service Sales Representatives will be wearing Me to We “We Walk 4Water” t-shirts, and asking their customers if they’d like to contribute to the Water Initiative. Cintas is an official distributor of Me to We apparel, which is available through the Cintas catalogue. Since 2011, Cintas has raised more than $30,000 in support of Free The Children and its mission to empower youth to fulfill their potential and be agents of change.
