Forsythe Acquires Synnefo Virtualization Business, Enhances Virtualization Capabilities

SKOKIE, Ill.--()--Forsythe Technology, Inc., an information technology (IT) infrastructure integrator, announced today that it has acquired the virtualization business of Synnefo Technology Solutions, Inc., an IT virtualization and cloud services provider headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. The acquisition expands Forsythe’s capabilities and resources to help clients architect, build, migrate and run hybrid data center infrastructures. This is Forsythe’s third major acquisition in the last ten months.

“The business and technology landscapes are transforming fast,” says Bill Brennan, Forsythe president and CEO. “Clients are rapidly trying to understand, absorb and leverage new virtualized technologies to gain the speed and agility to deliver new services, enter new markets, work more closely with their clients and ultimately grow their respective businesses.”

Forsythe and Synnefo have partnered since 2010 to help their mutual clients virtualize their systems and begin the journey to the hybrid data center. The two companies offer complementary IT infrastructure services, with Forsythe’s virtualization practice focusing on architecture and implementation and Synnefo bringing specialized capabilities in the migration, management and orchestration of virtualized systems. Synnefo’s pool of experienced consultants, proven methodologies and proprietary software-based solutions help clients realize the benefits and savings of a hybrid data center model faster, more accurately and securely.

“Synnefo has successfully delivered hundreds of high-profile projects for global clients since its founding in 2009,” says Karl Koshy, founder and president of Synnefo Technology Solutions, Inc. “In addition, Synnefo has developed numerous proprietary software-based solutions to aid customers in the adoption and management of virtualized server and desktop infrastructure.”

“We believe that together, Synnefo’s and Forsythe’s capabilities and resources will amplify our leadership in the hybrid data center solutions market,” adds Brennan. “We have great respect for Synnefo’s capabilities and the value they bring to our mutual clients. Both companies share the belief that providing technology solutions goes beyond creating new architectures. We take a pragmatic, hands-on approach to ensure that the architectures are implemented and run in a fashion that achieves the results our clients seek.”

Forsythe has acquired the Synnefo name and will operate the acquired business as an independent subsidiary called Synnefo Technology Solutions, Inc., a Forsythe Company. Effective immediately, more than 25 employees engaged in Synnefo’s virtualization business have joined Forsythe as part of the acquisition.
