17th Annual Webby Awards Selects Pod1 and Group FMG as Official Honorees

Firms recognized for work submitted in Game & App, Retail, and Fashion & Beauty Categories

The Webby Awards is the Internet's most respected symbol of success. With 11,000 entries received from all 50 US states and over 60 countries, the Official Honoree Webby distinction is awarded to the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.

Pod1 was selected as an Official Honoree for DvF Rendez-Vous in the retail category and for Beauty.com and Ernolaszlo.com in the fashion & beauty category. Group FMG won in the game & application category for creating a highly popular Facebook app integrating online video and film for Resident Evil - Shared Nightmare.

For Diane Von Furstenberg, Pod1 created a highly interactive, hyper-individualized campaign to create buzz for the Rendez Vous collection. Built entirely in HTML5, the campaign was accessible on all devices and delivered real online revenue. With Beauty.com, the 2nd largest multi-brand beauty e-tailer, Pod1 refined all of their brand assets, and re-designed the site to create a true community destination for beauty customers. Pod1’s work on ErnoLaszlo.com created a personalized experience for users, blending brand, content & commerce through a personalized skin care quiz, bespoke recommendations, and high-quality design.

With the Resident Evil - Shared Nightmare app, Group FMG worked with Capcom to develop a script, giving purpose to the video and creating opportunities to personalize the piece throughout. Within a month of launch, the Resident Evil Facebook page hit four million likes and still provides a great example of a complex, interactive video project developed, produced and delivered from scratch by Group FMG.
