First National Bank Names Greg Webb Market President of Southwest Louisiana

LAKE CHARLES, La.--()--First National Bank of Louisiana (FNB), a local community bank with locations in Lake Charles, Sulphur, Crowley and Lafayette, has named 30-year banking veteran Greg Webb its Market President of Southwest Louisiana.

Prior to joining FNB, Webb served seven years as Capital One’s Southwest Louisiana Market President.

A Lake Charles native, Webb began his career with Calcasieu Marine National Bank, which was later acquired by Hibernia National Bank and ultimately Capital One Bank. He brings a breadth of experience developed over decades serving customers and business owners.

Webb attributes FNB’s “unwavering” community focus as its most compelling differentiator and views his position as an opportunity to further strengthen relationships with individuals and local businesses alike.

“I believe very strongly in personally supporting the community, and I know that FNB shares that commitment,” Webb said. “Whether it’s providing avenues for local businesses to grow, or providing students with financial education, we share a dedication to the people of the communities we serve.”

Webb said now more than ever, local businesses in particular are relying on personalized service unique to community banks.

“When building a business, a lot hinges on your relationship with your banker,” Webb said. “At FNB, the difference is its ability to be nimble in responding to customers’ needs—to really understand their business. That’s what sets community banks like FNB apart from larger institutions.”

Winnie Cox, Webb’s longtime Administrative Assistant, will join in the transition and remain integral to client relations and daily operations.

Webb, a Lake Charles resident, is married to Tammy and has two children, Kellie and Kacie. He currently serves as Chairman of the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana. The Louisiana Tech graduate was named 2009 Southwest Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year and has served on the Profit and Loss Association’s board of directors for the past decade. He is a deacon, trustee and member of the Finance Committee at Trinity Baptist Church.

“People bank with people they know and trust,” said FNB Chairman, President and CEO Randy Prather, acknowledging Webb’s “people-first” approach to banking. “We’re excited to have Greg as part of our team. With his leadership and reputation, he’s going to make a tremendous difference for our bank.”
