Tecore Delivers Enterprise LTE solution for Private Government Network

Patented multi-technology solution delivers end to end connectivity across the wireless spectrum

HANOVER, Md.--()--Tecore Networks, a global supplier of American-made 2G, 3G, and 4G mobile network infrastructure announced today the sale of a multi-technology wireless network including 3G and 4G LTE support for a private enterprise system within a United States government facility. Tecore’s iCore software defined core network along with the compliment of base station technologies allows the end customer to operate the network locally for users within their facility. Additionally, the solution will be used to test and validate multiple technology configurations and features including the leading edge capabilities of 4G LTE.

Tecore’s iCore is the world’s first complete, multi-technology mobile core network available in three distinct implementations targeted at commercial, private, government, military, and OEM market segments. This platform delivers one or multiple core network subsystems for WCDMA, HSPA/HSPA+, LTE, GSM, and CDMA, enabling support for the most widely deployed mobile technologies in a broad range of applications and deployment scenarios.

The delivered solution features Tecore’s most recent addition of full 4G LTE EPC and supports the iCore Core Network platform. Building on the existing support of the iCore for 3G technology, the Tier 1 eNode for 4G LTE supports the industry standard capabilities of the MME, PGW, SGW, HSS, and PCRF from a common software baseline, making Tecore a complete turnkey solution. Additionally, the system integrates multiple radio technologies to enable enterprise services throughout the facility. Whether using a 3G GSM device or the latest LTE smartphone, the Tecore powered solution supports seamless operations from a single core network platform.

“As the government and military successfully incorporate cellular technology into the enterprise and across the battlefield, Tecore's commercially proven solutions deliver the targeted feature capability that addresses the requirements of these specialized, multi-protocol environments,” said Jay Salkini, President and CEO of Tecore.

The installation is the latest in a long line of Tecore solutions providing the flexibility and capability to deliver commercial wireless solutions in unique configurations that address challenging requirements. Tecore has deployed similar multi-technology solutions in numerous government and military installations, corporate enterprise, as well as test and validation laboratories. In each case the software defined iCore delivered multiple 2G, 3G, and 4G technology capability to the target environment.
