LW Robbins President Lynn S. Edmonds Named 2013 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award Recipient

HOLLISTON, Mass.--()--Lynn S. Edmonds, President of LW Robbins, a nationally recognized direct marketing fundraising industry leader, has been named the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Nonprofit Federation 2013 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award Recipient.

The award recognizes Ms. Edmonds’ many accomplishments and her deep commitment to the nonprofit fundraising community during her 35-plus year career.

The Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award, presented annually at the Washington Nonprofit Conference, recognizes career accomplishments by an exceptional fundraising professional with a track record of service, leadership, innovation and integrity. The award winner must be a respected authority in direct marketing fundraising practices and issues, and must be committed to the professional development of others through shared knowledge and mentorship.

Ms. Edmonds will receive the award at the Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award Gala Luncheon at the 2013 Washington Nonprofit Conference on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel in Washington, DC.

Ms. Edmonds also recently received the 2012 Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association Marketer of the Year Award in December 2012.

During the course of her career, Ms. Edmonds and her teams have developed innovative and successful fundraising programs for many leading nonprofit organizations such as American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, American Health Assistance Foundation, St. Labre Indian School, MAP International, Coast Guard Foundation, American Diabetes Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Catholic Relief Services, Consumers Union, Covenant House, National Audubon Society, and over 35 regional food banks, among others.

A hands-on fundraiser and leader, Ms. Edmonds is deeply involved in the direct response fundraising community. She is a board member of the Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel (ADRFCO), the National Catholic Development Conference (NCDC), and the DMA Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, and has served on the Advisory Board of FundRaising Success Magazine. She chaired the DMA Nonprofit Federation’s 2009 New York Nonprofit Conference and is a frequent speaker at fundraising and direct marketing conferences nationwide. Ms. Edmonds also received both the FundRaising Success Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award and the New England Direct Marketing Association Direct Marketer of the Year Award in 2010. Under her leadership, Ms. Edmonds’ fundraising teams have also won over 100 national and regional industry awards for creative excellence and outstanding results.
