SAN FRANCISCO & WASHINGTON--()--Razoo, the fastest growing crowdfunding platform for causes, announces the creation of their Lung Cancer Awareness Campaign during Lung Cancer Awareness Month. During the month, many people throughout the world will come together to support the lung cancer community and to inspire others to take action. If Razoo’s Facebook page reaches 70,000 “Likes”, then Razoo will donate an even share of $10K to four select organizations fighting lung cancer.

Similar to the PinkGiving Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the following 4 lung cancer-related organizations will be recipients of $2.5K each:

“Social media is making it easy for one person to make a big impact. It's no longer just about money but also about sharing your social influence,” said Lesley Mansford, CEO of Razoo. “By clicking ‘Like’ on our Facebook page, you are sharing the message that lung cancer is an important issue affecting millions of people. No matter how many friends you have, your post may compel someone to donate, talk about it, or even get a check-up.”

As part of the Lung Cancer Awareness Campaign, Razoo is also giving three lucky Facebook fans a Razoo Giving Card, with different values up to $500.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death of all cancers, and is the second cause of death in the United States. As a community, Razoo feels it’s their responsibility to take action. Whether it’s donating or fundraising for your favorite organization on Razoo, or spreading the word via social media, Razoo would like everyone to do their part to help and “Like” them on Facebook.

A similar contest in October, called PinkGiving Campaign, was successful in that Razoo donated $10K for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Because Razoo reached 50,000 new Facebook “Likes”, the following four breast-cancer related organizations received $2.5K each:

“The PA Breast Cancer Coalition is honored to have been a part of this year’s PinkGiving campaign,” said the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition. “We could not do what we do without the generosity of volunteers, donors and organizations like Razoo. On behalf of thousands of women in Pennsylvania, thank you for your dedication and support of our mission to find a cure for breast cancer now… so our daughters won’t have to.”
