AppStori and Millennial Media Partner to Help Fund and Market the Next Generation of Mobile Apps

Partnership Empowers Developers to Bring Great App Ideas to Market

NEW YORK--()--AppStori, a next-generation crowdsourcing platform that enables mobile app developers to generate funding and market support for their apps prior to launch, today announced a partnership with Millennial Media to provide mobile app developers with funding, advertising and support to bring their app ideas to market.

As part of the launch, eligible projects that post on AppStori will receive $500 in cash funding and a $500 advertising credit to put toward driving app discovery. Developers will also have a dedicated Millennial Media mentor who will be available every step of the way to help them maximize their opportunity to monetize, market and manage their new applications.

Among the first apps to take advantage of this partnership are Trivi.al, a social trivia app now available in Apple’s App Store; SickWeather, an app that scans social networks for indicators of illness, allowing users to check for the chance of sickness in a geographic area; and GraFighters, an app that brings your doodles to life and engages them in a fighting game.

“At Millennial Media, we consider ourselves a partner to developers. We help them successfully navigate and manage all aspects of the app economy, from monetization to advertising, and everything in between,” said Matt Gillis, SVP of Global Monetization Solutions for Millennial Media. “There are developers out there that may have a million dollar idea, but simply don’t have the tools or resources to execute it. We want to enable these developers to realize their potential and build a business. Our partnership with AppStori is one more way we can help support those developers.”

There are currently more than 38,000 sites and applications on the Millennial Media platform that use the company’s industry-leading self-service mobile monetization and advertising tools. Through mMedia, developers can access Millennial Media’s 3-in-1 SDK that enables them to earn revenue by placing video, rich media and banner ads in their applications. They can also run house ad campaigns and easily put earnings from monetizing their applications toward their own mobile advertising efforts to drive app installs.

“AppStori is delighted to be working closely with a market leader like Millennial, that has been an innovator in the app economy from the beginning,” said AppStori co-founders Arie Abecassis and Michael Semegran. “This partnership furthers our goal of becoming the breeding ground for great app ideas, where developers and consumers are empowered to create engaging mobile apps. We share Millennial’s vision and passion for innovation and creativity in the app economy.”
