CES Comes to LA for Media Breakfast with Content Experts

WHAT:

The 2013 International CES® LA media event brings together top experts for discussions and demos about the new world of direct-to-consumer media and their impact on the entertainment industry.

 

The event will also feature news about the 2013 International CES and its Entertainment Matters program for the entertainment community.

 
The CES LA media breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, beginning at 8:45 a.m., at UTA headquarters, in Beverly Hills, California.
 
Event highlights include:
 

-- Breakfast and Opening Remarks with CEA’s Karen Chupka: CEA’s senior vice president of events and conferences will kick off the event with news about the 2013 International CES Entertainment Matters program at the end of breakfast networking, which runs 8:45-9:15 a.m.

 

-- Smart TV’s, Tablets and Phones: Oh My! The new world of direct-to-consumer media: The 9:30 a.m. panel of technologists, writers and analysts in the content space will discuss what new and improved technologies mean to both artists and technology companies, and how can they partner to create the next generation of popular media. The panel will be moderated by Brent Weinstein, Head of Digital Media, United Talent Agency. Panelists include:

-- Felicia Day, creator/star of “The Guild,” founder, “Geek & Sundry”

-- Ron Gellar, Vice President, Worldwide Content Relations – Dolby

-- Shari Covens, Executive Director, IAWTV

-- John Lehr and Nancy Hower: Creators/Star/Director: 10 Items Or Less (TBS) & Jailbait (Crackle)

-- Shawn DuBravac, CEA, Chief Economist and Director of Research
